The class rating column is a figure derived from the combined class profiles of the sire and damsire. The class profile contents show the percentage chance of a progeny winning a group 1 through to a class 6/7. An overall class rating of over 75 would indicate a well bred animal capable of running against the best whereas a score of 65 or lower would indicate that successe are likely to be found at the lower end of the racing scale. The final stamina rating is in furlongs and is related to the horses age. For example a middle distance 3yo may have a 2yo stamina rating of 8f. The distance profile box gives a breakdown of the rating in relation to the various distance bands. If a rating and profile contains dashes, then this simply means that the database does not have the required data on the sires in question to construct a profile and rating. A question mark next to a rating means that the rating has been derived from fewer than ten of the sires offspring and consequently the rating should be treated with caution.
